But if we take a close look into them, often are the news negative. As a personal consideration, the media does need to follow more good news.
First, frequent bad news makes people reading them, along with the society nervous. Some disasters should be reported, because they warn the public to care problems. This is somehow vital, when the example is taken from things like a gun shooting or drug abusing. Medias reporting these draws close attention from the related authority, sometimes to change the trend as a result. That is just not always the case. Very often there is the conflict aroused afterwards, and people start to argue endlessly on it. In short, things never change or change for a short time then retreat, if the focus is mainly on bad news.
