It is a common practice that the media is bombarded with news of disasters, horror and malpractices. While some may consider this as an accepted way of doing by the media, I strongly believe more good news should be included in the news coverage.

More coverage of good news certainly generates some benefits. Firstly, good news is more constructive in promoting kindness and positive energy in society. Compared to news of murder, earthquake and air pollution, news coverage of kindness, discovery and innovation is more likely to have positive psychological benefits on news-readers and it shall encourage more people to do more good deeds. Secondly, it may benefit the media by making more benefits. The existing news media is flooded with the kind of news like natural disasters, political corruption, etc..
